World Book Day 2018

Every year the pupils of the Muslim National School celebrate World Book Day. This year we celebrated it on the 7th of March. Children (and the majority of teachers!) came to school dressed up as their favourite character from a story.

Lots of reading-based activities took place such as ‘buddy reading’ between junior and senior classes.

We had a wonderful Assembly where we looked at the costumes from each class, gave out prizes for the bookmark competition, listened to book reviews and listened to funny poems and stories read out by the teachers!

All pupils received a book voucher that they can use when purchasing a book in local bookshops.

Well done everyone for putting in a great effort!

Well done teachers!

Wear Red Day for Anti-Racism

On Friday the 24th of November 2017, our school participated in a Wear Red Day to support anti-racism. The children created wonderful posters and some wrote poetry about racism.
